Redondèl, Dannato Teroldego
About This Drink
Paolo’s choice to give the wine extended ageing before release pays dividends here – the tertiary flavours add a gorgeous savoury note and the result is a wine with every component beautifully integrated.

Story
Deeply coloured, with intense notes of dark plum, violet, liquorice and leather underscored by a slight herbaceous quality. The tannins are chewy but ripe, and teroldego's lifted acidity is the perfect foil for the powerful density of fruit.Producer
Run by the philosophical yet tenacious Paolo Zanini, Redondèl are dedicated entirely to teroldego, the noble red grape of the Trentino region. Paolo works seven parcels, totalling just over 3 hectares, dotted around the village of Mezzolombardo, considered the best in Trentino for teroldego. His vines range in age from 25 to 80 years, and his work is informed always by traditional methods. After fermentation in large old barrels, Paolo gives his wines extended bottle ageing before release, resulting in one of the most complex, sumptuous teroldego we have ever tasted.Goes Well With
